My story

Living in different countries and cultures has shaped my understanding of people’s life experiences, identity and the world in diverse ways. This has strengthened my ability to listen without assumptions and to approach each person’s story with curiosity, respect and cultural humility.

Alongside my professional experience, I bring the perspective of a mother to two adult daughters, a wife, sister, aunty, cousin, daughter and friend. Navigating these changing roles has deepened my understanding of relational complexity, family dynamics and the way we adapt across different life stages.

I offer a pluralistic counselling approach that integrates Indigenous and Western frameworks to support healing and personal growth. Sessions are collaborative, strengths-based and client-led, recognising each person as the expert in their own life.

There is no prescribed number of sessions. You may find one session is enough, or you may choose to work with me over a longer period. There is never any obligation to commit to a particular length of time.

I am a provisional member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and also a member of the Australia New Zealand Mental Health Association (ANZMHA), the International Centre for Emotion Focused Therapy (ICEFT) and a companion with the Seasons For Growth Programme.

Whether you are navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, family and parenting challenges, or significant life transitions, I’d be honoured to join you in your healing journey.
