Privacy Statement
At the heart of counselling is trust. I understand that sharing personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences requires courage, and I am committed to creating a safe, respectful, and confidential space where you can be heard without judgement.
Any information you share during counselling sessions is treated with care and respect. Your privacy matters, and details of your sessions will not be shared with others without your knowledge and consent, except in the limited circumstances required by law or professional ethical obligations. These may include situations where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, or where records are legally required to be disclosed.
I keep session notes only for as long as necessary to support the quality and continuity of your counselling. These notes are stored securely and are accessible only to me. You are welcome to ask what information is held about you, how it is used, and to discuss any concerns you may have about your privacy at any time.
If counselling involves supervision, referrals, or communication with another professional, this will be discussed with you openly first wherever possible. My aim is always to work collaboratively with you, honouring your autonomy, dignity, and right to make informed choices about your own care.
If you have questions or concerns about confidentiality or how your information is managed, please feel free to raise them before or during our work together.
